year in review: 2011

2011 has been one hek of a year.

it has brought us so much happiness and many, many blessings.

January

erin and mike got engaged!

steven met my family {kind of a 2010 thing, but we'll include it.}

i met steven's family in AZ.

 my 2nd graders had their 2nd grade program.

February

went to california and...

we got engaged!!

2 weddings!!

i finished my teacher work sample 

[so i could be a "real" teacher.]

March

we had fun celebrating dr. seuss day at school and the kids say/do funny things.

dana and mom came to visit and wedding plan/shop {like for my dress}.

andi came for a visit!!

we went to california. the hoppers met the kendricks.

i went through the temple for the first time.

 we took engagement photos.

April

addressed and stamped a lot of wedding invites.

erin and mike got married!!!

i was a bridesmaid in my first wedding.

katie's mom, kim, threw a fabulous wedding shower for me.

i graduated!!

May

pretty much all you need to know is that i successfully finished my first year of teaching.

oh.

and we got MARRIED!

and we went on a fabulous honeymoon cruise in the bahamas.

June

we totally enjoyed a nice relaxing summer [steven worked full time, i worked like 10 hours a week and was so lazy.]

the hoppers came for a visit.

July

i had an ulcer {like 1 week before katie's wedding}.

katie and kyle got married!

August

we met my family in mammoth for a fun last hurrah vacation.

set up my new first grade classroom.

steven left me for 3.5 months. sad, sad, sad day.

September

i was loving first grade and seriously missing steven.

October

steven and i video chatted. a lot.

my family came to visit me and emily/we got iphones.

i was a sheep for halloween.

Steven and i were FINALLY reunited in DC for about 5 days!! {no pictures / posts on this one. whoops.}

November

i had a birthday. 24. what?

i went back to DC to visit steven for thanksgiving. it was the best weekend.

December

steven came home!!!!

i "met" my brother-in-law on a mission via skype on christmas day.

we spent christmas with the hoppers, my first christmas away, but so fun!

year wrap up:

i'm still loving first grade: see all of this.

we're like 223498571098 more times in love than we were on our wedding day. steven's internship in DC was great and such a blessing for our future and our relationship, even though it was so long and so not fun being away from each other, but we wouldn't change a thing. our relationship is 1000 times more wonderful.

so excited for next year!
