i don't think i ever posted anything about my first trip to DC a month ago. probably because the few pictures we took were on my camera which steven has in DC. but this time, i had my iphone so i was able to take a few more than last time.
wednesday
steven told me we wouldn't have a car this time. so sneaky. he told me i would have to take a bus to the metro and then he'd meet me there and we'd take the metro home.
well, he called and was giving me directions to get on the bus, "turn left." whoops, i turned right. "other left." so i turned around with a huge smile on my face and saw him standing there. so perfect.
thursday
me: traditional thanksgiving morning run.
steven: football with the guys.
t.day round 1 with one of the guys steven baptized on his mission in baltimore.
t.day round 2 [2 hours later] at steven's mission president's home.
{might i add, this was probably the least amount of food i've consumed on thanksgiving. one modest plate at each house, plus a piece of pumpkin pie. oh, and then friday night, steven and i had some berger cookies, a baltimore staple.]

black friday shopping [got one christmas gift.]
relaxing.
bday dinner for me at founding farmers.

sleeping in.
lounging around.
walked 6-7 miles all around the city: to the holocaust museum, to the national archives, to the kennedy center, back home, down through georgetown's M street.
the holocause museum was so interesting. i need to go back again. it was pretty difficult to view and read some of the images and things that were displayed, but what a solemn experience.
sunday
tears. tears. saying good bye is so difficult, especially for the 3rd time! thank goodness we are 11 days out until his return this time. watching him walk away was horrible.
the weekend was absolutely perfect. just so so wonderful and perfect. we are so in love.

umm, i thought serendipity was only in nyc, then recently in vegas. but i guess there is one on M street in Georgetown! naturally, i told Steven all about the movie and the frozen hot chocolates.
steven surprised me and we went for my birthday treat friday night. so romantic sharing a frozen hot chocolate.

love steven's coat. also i coaxed him into getting those cords last year. and now he has 3 different colors.

oh, you may have heard of or seen this show, DC Cupcakes, about Georgetown Cupcake. did we go? no. i don't like cupcakes. and steven doesn't care for them either.
steven bought me flowers again. love. plus, i have some sitting on my counter still from my bday that he had lauren pick up and drop off for me. love.
watergate. not just a hotel but like this enormous apartment, hotel, and business complex.
when will trader joe's see the light and come to provo!?!? even salt lake. i would totally drive there.
love just walking around and oh, hey, there's the washington monument, or the white house, or lincoln memorial, or the capitol, or whatever. i love it.
right where steven lives.
um, saw this in georgetown. ching ching cha. i wish it was ching chang cha. but it'll do.
