one

last week, i went to DC to visit Steven!!!!!!

it was the BEST 6 days of my life.  although, the plane ride home was not so fun...5 hours to long beach, not to see my family members, but to get off the plane only to re-board it 20 minutes later.

DC was absolutely incredible, awesome, perfect, lovely, beautiful, magnificent, wonderful, fantastic, and all other good words like that.  steven is doing well. we are still SO in love...actually like 349857 times more, so it's good.

we took a few pictures, but steven has them on the camera there, so i'll have to get them later. here's a list of some of the things we did:

* toured part of Steven's mission in/around Baltimore, Maryland

* met his mission president and his wife [Steven loves him and talks to him often, so it was so neat to finally meet him]

* ate at founding farmers [loved]

* went to rita's. twice.

* walked around the monuments at night.

* ran around the monuments and along the potomac [just me, while steven was in class/worked two mornings].

* went to the top of the old post office building for a nice view of the city.

* walked around the city.

* went to church.

* took the metro.

* went to ford's theater where abe lincoln was shot. AND saw the weapon and read some cool things. i loved it. i love lincoln. i went to his monument 3 times.

* had lunch with steven at his work.

* went to class with steven.

i get to go back for thanksgiving, which is less than 4 weeks away!!! counting down to that!! and then, he'll come home just about 2 weeks after thanksgiving weekend. it's going to fly by.

i got back on tuesday evening and had wednesday and thursday to finish [85% of] my preparations for parent-teacher conferences.  and i got a byu cohort student [like what i did a year and a half ago!] and things are always crazy after a sub, so life was just slightly, a lot of crazy wednesday and thursday. and friday teachers went to a training and kids had the day off. it was beneficial.

mom, dad, and dana came up thursday afternoon. we've pretty much been playing around and lounging around. it's been nice. good company. i get so lonely on the weekends and as a result, eat popcorn, do lesson plans, and watch a movie. so not fun.

i mentioned that we were playing.  i meant playing with our new iPhones. 4s.  umm, pretty much amazing.  steven said, "welcome to the world of smart phones, heidi." the new iphone siri feature is INCREDIBLE.  like absolutely out of this world. just watch the commercials or go to apple.com.

i got bangs!! [remember when the friend says that in legally blonde?]

anyway, about a year ago i got over the bangs and pushed to the side for some side bangs. and recently they've just been giving me some problems.  like, telling me they wanted to go back to the front. so, today the did.

oh...and i just barely went grocery shopping

and did some laundry,

but still haven't put my laundry away

or unpacked half of my suitcase.

and i need to make my

halloween costume for school monday.

and i need to finish

some lesson planning.

wah, wah.
