iphone photo dump

steven and i took a trip to europe a couple weeks ago!  it was so amazing and so needed.  since he travels a ton, we really needed some one on one time without kenley (and also before baby 2 gets here!).  but, the plus side to his traveling is we get the benefit of points, so that saved us like $4000.

my parents watched kenley for us while we were gone.  thank you!!!!! she had so much fun with them.  luckily, she adjusted rather quickly and back to us and back to dallas quickly, too.  although, we are suffering from a little separation anxiety now when one of us leaves or especially when we take her to the gym.  she even cried when my mom left to the gym one morning after we were back and then gave her the biggest longest hug!  poor girl...it's good development, right?!  she only cries for a minute when we leave her, so it isn't really that bad.  i think i get more sad than she does!

so, a few random pictures from my phone until we get the nice camera photos uploaded.

waiting at the airport.  that backpack on her tiny body kills me! and she loves sitting on little steps like that.
copying grandma.  grandma sat down against the cupboards, so kenley did, too.

first stop: big ben. steven loves big ben, and i do too.  old, antique clocks, especially clock towers, are so cool!

westminster abbey.

the cutest chocolate, nuts, and coffee place in picadilly circus.  we had hot chocolate here on night and it was so good. so dark and rich.

our friends are doing their 3rd year in london! we are tossing around the idea, too.  we met up with them saturday evening after we got there and again for church and a picnic in hyde park on sunday.  we miss them! and baby madelynn is so cute!

hyde park!
our hotel was right down the street from harrods.  that store is amazing.
hyde park in fall: heart eye emoji, it is a gorgeous.

shopping on oxford street.

and selfridges! also amazing, but my wallet doesn't roll that deep.

train station in london (not waterloo).

the louvre. it is absolutely massive.

some of the metro stations in paris look like this.  so gothic looking and charming at the same time.
couldn't find the hunchback, but here's notre dame.
i could only button the top of my coat. tiny baby bump already making my wardrobe more interesting.

we didn't add our lock to it and i'm okay with that.  but, cool bridge!

arc du triomphe at night is so cool.

eiffel tower from the top of the arc du triomphe.

amsterdam and it's canals and bridges and row homes and bikes is so dreamy.

the end.  i will put up some nicer pictures from our camera some time in the future.

  1. What a fun trip! Leaving the baby is always tough but so worth it. You can experience everything so much easier.
