still alive!

let's talk about ebola! okay, so no one really wants to, but I just wanted to point out that the second healthcare worker to be diagnosed lives in my hood, half mile away. and the hospit is two miles up the road and all the patients and everything is within a few mile radius of us. so, that's scary. luckily, we are fleeing the area. 

and there was this crazy storm in dallas a couple weeks ago and we lost power! for a day and a half! and some people were without power three or four days! how awful. luckily, unluck an ice storm, we were able to get out of the house. the gym had power, so I brought my shower shoes and got ready there after my workout. kenley loves playing there, so win win. we also went out for breakfast and dinner. and one restaurant near us gives children's books instead of crayons!

but here is what you need to know. we are alive! and living. so that's why we've been a little absent over here. life's a little busy around these parts right now. but, more on that later. maybe next month when I post next? oh, who knows. 

she wants the whole apple these days.  

also, my birthday is next month. who gets excited for bdays when you're this old?! i think we are going to start doing week long celebrations now. just decided. 

kenley hasn't been all that into wearing shirts these days. sometimes. and the one toy car we have is actually a little stainless steel clock, but she loves it. so she looks like a boy here. and I bought her three hot wheels. also, she's obsessed with all of her aunt dana's old baby doll stuff and loves playing with it at grandma and grandpa kendrick's. we caught her taking the diaper clutch out and changing the baby's diaper all on her own. and she kissed the baby and puts it in the little play pack n play and gives it a blanket and stuffed animal. monkey see, monkey do!
