sunday seven

kenley's first time at a birthday party. it was darling.

1.  kenley is walking.  she actually took her first steps during our layover in the albuequrque airport. more on that later.

2.  i can finally share with the world that my sister, emily is pregnant!  i'm so excited for her!!! it will be grandbaby 3 in our family and on blake's side, so that's cool.

3.  kenley's great grandma hopper passed away a couple of weeks ago.  the world lost a great, witty woman.  the funeral services were wonderful. steven and his dad both spoke and gave great tributes. we will miss seeing her every time we visit arizona.

4.  i keep saying we aren't going to do anymore traveling until the fall...but now we have a trip in august and two in september planned, plus our big trip in october and then there's thanksgiving and christmas, so i guess i lied.  traveling with a child is a lot of work, but it's a lot of fun, so we will do it while we can and there's only one.

5.  andi came and stayed with us for a week, which turned into almost two weeks.  we found out of grandma hopper's passing the morning andi was supposed to leave, so we ended up just changing her flight to friday and we all flew together.  we had so much fun with her here!  kenley loves playing with andi and would yell to her when she left the room.  one day, andi closed the bathroom door to take a shower.  kenley stood there for a good 5 minutes yelling "andi! hi! andi! hi!" and knocking on the door, which at the time was tapping her finger.  it was hilarious and so cute!

6.  i love these dallas thunderstorms.  there was one when andi was here, and we stood on the balcony for a bit watching the sky light up bright purple.  crazy how it can not be raining at all and the next minute, it is dumping for two minutes, then nothing or back to a light rain.  and all that just happened right now.

7.  big news! i'm going to open up a little etsy shop soon.  like last month, but then remember we keep going places? so new goal is next week, and i think it just might happen.  stay tuned.
