15 months might be the best. perhaps because kenley started walking, or perhaps just because she keeps learning new tricks, or probably just a combo of both. either way, i love it.
stats, for documentation:
20 lbs 6.5 oz (25th percentile)
28 1/4 inches (5th percentile)
doctor says she is "round". true.
kenley's been a little slow on the gross motor skills. she didn't army crawl until 11 months. i think around 13 months she started solely real crawling. she also had no concept of walking at that time. like, you'd hold both hands to have her walk and she had no idea what to do. then around 13 months she was cruising around with her walker. 14 months she was walking mostly on her own, but had to hold a finger or wall or something. that evolved into 1-4 momentum steps to the couch or someone. and then during our layover in albuquerque last weekend, she started walking. and now she walks everywhere. she'll squat down, pick up a toy, and get right back up without a problem. it's like she's been walking for awhile.
she has 2 teeth on top, 3 on bottom, and a molar poking through, plus about 4 other teeth that are
so close.

| it was a rubber straw that flipped back after she pulled it out of her mouth. normally, this doesn't happen. oops. |
she still loves all the same foods. she never wants to eat a "real" dinner, or lunch. very rarely will she eat any chicken/meat, but she loves eggs, so that's good. she doesn't like milk, or homemade almond milk. her pediatrician isn't worried since she loves yogurt and cheese and loves her green smoothies every morning, and we have fresh veggie juice every other day or two, plus she loves water.
 |
| i don't rip her waffles into pieces anymore. she tears off pieces as she eats it or puts them in a pile on the plate. |
kenley waves all the time, but recently, when people say hi to her at the store, she puts her wrist/back of her hand to her mouth and makes a funny noise.
kenley likes to help me with my workouts. mostly by climbing on my legs while i'm doing push ups or any sort of plank exercise, or resting her head on my stomach while i'm doing any sort of ab exercise. so sweet and perhaps it is making me stronger by adding 20 lbs?
she still loves reading books! Quick as a Cricket, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and The Big Hungry Bear are her absolute favorites. we have to read at least one, usually all three, before naps and bed. she can be caught reading them to herself quite often, too.

| the kenley selfies. in costco? or the fabric district? |
still techno crazy. it is amazing how well she navigates the ipad or iphone. her favorite thing is watching videos of herself. [cue: you're so vain]
she helps me make her smoothies every morning. she likes to turn on the vitamix and will hold it there, just to be sure it stays on. she also loves to yell to me or cover her ears when it's on and really loud.
she doesn't really have any new words i can think of. she's been focusing on walking. she does have this new jibber jabber language which really involves her little tongue moving around and also has a new beat boxing type language.

a blanket from her aunt darcy that she absolutely loves to snuggle with! it most definitely has not replaced lamb. neither has the other little lamb ggma bought her recently.
|
SHE GIVES KISSES!!!!! like, regularly. it used to be so hit or miss, but now she will pucker her little lips and kiss you and i melt every time!!! it's so cute when she gives her lamb a kiss, sometimes it's the ipad and then i get worried.
she's obsessed with shoes. she always walks into my closet and pulls out some shoes for me.
