what?! where did the time go?
i present the following: a photo essay of kenley at 3 months.
but first, remember how TINY she was?!
and always curled up? man, i so miss newborn stage and being in the hospital and holding my baby for the first time, and oh. oh, i could have 50 babies just for that.
kenley loves her playmat even more than she did before. she's starting to touch the little animals and toys on it now. she's always smiley and talks to her friends. the toucan's name is skip and the butterflies are dana and sara. {erin and mike named the friends for finn; he has the same one.}
do we have a thumb sucker? she has her hands up by her face all of the time and has recently started sucking on them more. sometimes she finds her thumb and will suck on it for a few seconds. and when she does, my heart melts. it's so cute!
kenley is so smiley these days! i love it. and she has THE CUTEST little high pitched, girly voice. her coos are to die for.
we really, really miss finn already. we facetimed with him the other day and will be doing that a lot. i want my kids to know their cousins even with living hundreds or even thousands of miles away. finn and kenley were having a conversation in that second photo. it was so cute. caught most of it on video.
still has those diva hands. they are so funny when she is sleeping. {actually, in that first picture she is nursing. we're covered, so don't freak out.}
kenley has this new hobby called, eating my dress. sundays are her favorite days because of this. she also loves sundays because she gets to be held for 3 hours during church. win, win.
so immodest. girl, this ain't spring break!
kenley is starting to touch and grasp onto things more {like on her playmat}.
we recently ditched the carseat on her stroller and have her face out. oh, it is so cute. and she absolutely LOVES it. she so wants to be a big girl. and she LOVES nature. sometimes all it takes to calm her down is walking outside and let her look at the trees.
see? she wants to be a big girl. she wants to sit up and look around and touch things. she's always trying to sit up. she'll lift her little head up and use those little tummy muscles. this girl is still so strong! from day 1 in the hospital she has had a very strong neck.
bumbo! my parents bought a little bumbo chair for finn and kenley. she looks so funny sitting in it. the picture on the right is her first time in it. she was a little confused.
kenley loves reading books!
a few other things about kenley:
* she HATES being alone. and she also still does not like her carseat, so someone usually has to sit by her in the car if it's a longer trip. and by longer, i mean like 20 minutes. luckily, that can happen right now, but not for much longer!
*when kenley is ready to eat, she will cry {and most of the time, we get her before she's too upset.}, when she sees that it's almost time, she will start laughing/crying. it is kind of funny.
*speaking of kind of funny, when kenley wakes up in the morning or middle of the night crying to eat, she snort-cries.
*she still LOVES, LOVES, LOVES her swing. and hates her car seat.
happy 3 months, kenley girl!
