the pregnancy diaries: week 37

can we get a "hallelujah" for the 37 week bump!
we are full term!!

that means baby girl can make her debut any day and i would be happy {and not freak out about early labor}.

we are getting more and more anxious around these parts.
I AM COMPLETELY READY AT SCHOOL. sub plans are done.  i am fully planned through the end of the school year (actually i was last week, too, but was still wrapping up some other ideas and such for my sub).
we are completely *almost* completely ready here on the home front.  well, we do have little things to do, like 1) put the car seat base in the car, which can wait.  and 2) set up the pack n' play, which can also wait (and takes like 5 minutes).  i do need to 3) buy some different laundry detergent and 4) wash some of baby's clothes so she has a few clean blankets and onesies before we get home.
i haven't 5) packed my hospital bag yet, but i have a list on my phone, so if i suddenly went into labor, i know the things i want to grab.
i also 6) bought waterproof mascara today. you know, because i will probably be sweating like crazy during labor and also be weeping with joy, so waterpoof mascara was obviously necessary.  also for my postpartum.  i am an emotional wreck these days--i can only imagine what i'll be like after!

some updates:
:: the doctor gave me the go ahead to workout again. *hallelujah!!*  i will do anything to keep this baby healthy, even if it means not working out or being on bed rest, or being induced, or getting a c-section.  but, i am just so happy that she is healthy and i am healthy and able to do some exercising.

::finn is still super precious and cute and i want to cry every time i look at him or think of him {can we partly blame pregnancy for that? but he really is that cute}.  there are a few pictures of him, some with erin, that just bring tears to my eyes.  he gets me so excited for our baby to come.

::we've had a name picked out for, oh, since 16 weeks. we love it and can't wait for her to come.

::sometimes i feel like this child is going to FALL OUT of me.  other times, i feel like she is trying to TICKLE me from inside.  and then there are times when i think she is trying to make me PEE MY PANTS {or the bed} by giving me soft punches to the bladder.  it's great!

::little chica has been getting the hiccups more and more.  it's fun for steven to be able to feel these movements.  he often puts his hand on my belly and says, "kick me if you love me" and then she will. she moves around a ton {which we are so happy about--healthy baby!}, which means she must really love her dad already.

my "hurry and take the photo i hate taking solo photos" expression doesn't give justice to my true feelings, but we are just SO EXCITED.
in case you can't tell, baby is now supposedly the size of a watermelon.
judging by the fact that it looks like i stuffed a basketball under my shirt {which i thought i would only be wearing until 6 months--ha!}, i think she is about the size of a watermelon.  not a huge one though. which makes me want to eat a watermelon. hurry summer! but more importantly--HURRY BABY!!
