sloths are s-l-o-o-o-o-w. pregnancy is kind of like a sloth, but also fast like a cheetah. sometimes it moves so slow and you wonder when you will ever start showing or when that 20 week appointment will come or when that baby will come.
but then you look back and say, "wow! seems like just yesterday i was living on bananas, bread, and gluten-free pretzels." or "gosh i was so small then." or "shoot, i only have a few more weeks and i have x, y, z, ...and a - w that i need to get done before baby comes!"
so right now we {as in the many emotions i have going on in me} are feeling a little more slothy. like, erin had little finn, so shouldn't our girl be here, too?! but no, we want to keep her in at least another week when i'm full term.
full term! next week i will be full term. even if baby came now, she would do pretty well, but we want her to put on a little more weight, first.
we'll be feeling more cheetah-ish once i get back to school this week after the extra long break i took.
taking solo pictures is never fun.
taking solo pictures of myself is definitely not fun.
taking solo pictures of myself in the bathroom mirror is so not fun and so not me.
but there it is: another bump picture at 36 weeks!
and of the poorest zoomed in//poor lighting quality.
ah, the things i do for this baby.
UpDaTeS with the baby {and baby mama}!
* did i mention that the perinatologist over at maternal fetal medicine declared her healthy and in the 36th percentile? well he did! we met with our doctor on tuesday morning and he said no more non-stress tests! and he would let me carry until she comes--no need to induce early which means a far less chance of having to get a c-section. we are very happy!
we are grateful for all of the prayers from family and friends for our sweet girl. we feel very blessed to have such wonderful support. this girl is loved by so many.
*still head down and still kicking in my ribs, just the right one, so at least it's just the one side. but hello, after awhile, or more like an hour...two...three, it starts getting painful!
*still can't breathe half the time. but baby's breathing fine, so we are happy!
*i have pretty much everything we need {baby and i} for when baby comes. i just need to pack my hospital bag. i'm thinking that will be next weekend's "to do."
*crazy dreams that baby comes and weird things happen. not bad, just weird things. that's all i can tell you because most of the time i don't remember anything other than baby had arrived but something odd was going on. like she was 3 months already or something more bizarre than that.
*i've been much more emotional the past couple of weeks. i haven't had those crazy pregnancy emotions until now. things are coming to the end and as i am preparing things for baby, myself {labor!}, my classroom {suuuuub plans}, and still trying to be a decent wife, as well as see little finn, i am just kind of stressing, which leads to tears. luckily i have a rock like steven to comfort me and cheer me up and take my stress levels down. he's so good at that.
*i found these baby bracelets of mine in my jewelry box. i just about died when i saw them. i forgot i had them in there for so many years! i can't wait to put them on her little wrists, although, if she is like her cousin finn, she won't be able to wear them for a little bit.
