we had a long, cold winter.
and i mean cold.
we were in the negatives this year.
i've spent five winters in provo and this was the coldest i've seen.
native utahans agree.
spring has been taking her sweet, precious time.
she'll peek out for a few days, then leave.
stay for a few days, and then let winter have it's last little dances of rain and snow.
last week, she finally, finally decided to let her beautiful blossoms burst open.
the line of trees along our street really does look like popcorn popping {but, these aren't apricot trees}.
but then she decided to be a little tricky, once again.
slushy rain fall the last couple of days.
the good news: i didn't have to go out on recess duty today.
the bad news: i want sun. and i like going out on duty when the weather is nice.
we wrote "spring brings..." poems {kind of a poem} in class a couple of weeks ago.
for me?
spring brings walks outside, blossoms, sun, runs outside {more like jog//walks these days}, late nights, barbecues, and new life with flowers, trees, grass.
we are most excited for the new life coming to us soon. our baby girl! in 3 weeks from today we will have her to hold in our arms! unless she decides to come sooner {which i am so okay with}.
