and my family came to town.

my apologies for leaving your google reader with the "boobies, boobies" post.  but com'on, you know that you laughed every time you saw it.  because i did.  but mostly because that was just a funny experience.

but what's better than first graders saying boobies during a library tour is my family.  erin + mike drove up to utah thursday and went to byu's first football game of the season.  mike loves byu. then my parents and dana drove up that evening, stayed in st. george, and finished their journey on friday.  they came straight to my classroom.  it was so fun having there for the afternoon to help us with our math project that we were doing that day {matching a number word, with the number and dots. pretty exciting stuff, that number sense}.  i think they enjoyed my little cherubs.

we all headed out to dinner to celebrate some bdays and job offers//interviews and such.  it was pretty magical. and then it was time for some shopping. well, more like us girls all going to buy some maxi skirts {i had to buy a second}. and then we played hopscotch.  okay, not really. but we did go get some ice cream. remember how i used to have fro yo like every week and now i hardly ever want it?

saturday i met my fam at kneaders after my yoga class and we bid farewell to erin + mike who travelled down to st. george.  that afternoon, em + blake, dana, steven + me, and my parents all headed up provo canyon {with colorful leaves making their debut, well like 2-3 weeks ago on Y mountain} and rode the heber creeper!  so awesome!! this slow old train. a little sight seeing in the canyon. gorgeous. i love nature. still lots of green, but fall is creeping in!  we went up to park city for a little bit afterwards and then, of course hit up wallsburg on the way home. my dad loves that place. it's where my marathon started when i ran the utah valley marathon 2 years ago. a) that seems like so long ago and b) i can't believe i can that--it seemed so far driving it! and BONUS--we got a neat lightning show in the canyon.

sunday was great. church is always so wonderful. and then i made an awesome dinner and we celebrated blake's bday. but we did have to take dana to the airport. then we just laid around and played loaded questions and ate watermelon.

now for some pictures--because i've already talked to much.

relocated the wedding gown. of course, i had to take it out. and try it on. i love the back so much.
we left the temple tuesday to this beautiful views.

this is a rare occurrence these days.

the end.
