and that's why i've been m.i.a.

let's just say i spent around 25 hours in my classroom last week. nbd. steven's working like 10 hours a day plus 2 hours commuting, but hello, i am on my summer break! so glad i didn't have to move classrooms or totally start a classroom like i have the past two summers. but i did want to change things up a bit. enter: emily + blake's wedding decorations.  they were so cute and my momma {who made all of them!!} let me take the pinwheels and banners home with me for my classroom.  so much better and cuter than the ol' ocean theme.

this is our check-in table. it's not done yet. those cans will be for lunch choice. and i'll have a homework folder basket as well. and i think my favorite book ever the little mouse, the red ripe strawberry and the big hungry bear will be relocated. we shall see. but how cute are those pinwheel bouquets i made? i couldn't figure out what to do with all of them, and this is what i came up with.

my contract days start the 16th and school starts the 21st. my classroom is almost ready and i am almost  ready to be ready. as in, i'm not ready yet. at. all.
