{one}

my dad sends me a picture of the beach every now and then when he goes on his saturday morning bike rides.  i think he does it just to try and convince me that i need to move back home. well, i don't need much convincing.  my other half does [for good reason--cost of living is a lot.]

i should be working on 23 report cards right now:

"[insert name here] is ready for 2nd grade!"

will be the comment on all 23.

{three}

i have 3--count them 1, 2, 3; monday, tuesday, wednesday--days left of this school year. i got a little teary-eyed last wednesday thinking about it.  i love my precious little cherubs. they are a wild, chatty bunch this year. but so cute. and so sweet. and they write me the most precious notes and have genuine love for me. i love them and am sad to lose them [well, most of them. shhh.].

{four}

love me some mint jeans! i've been dying to get some mint and coral jeans forever. the coral ones i got were a wee bit too small. returned. and these babies came in the mail.

{five}

these little lollipops are getting hitched on saturday. not just hitched. sealed in the temple. i am SO excited for them and so proud.

{six}

grass fed beef is so good. steven and i made little hamburgers today. they were little. i haven't had a hamburger in like 2 years. i've had hamburger meat, but not an actual hamburger. actually it was more like a lettuce wrapped burger. and it was SO good.

{seven}

i don't want to make anyone jealous here, but tonight we made kendrick chocolate chip cookies and added some bits of pretzel to them to make them even more delicious: sweet and salty.
[i actually didn't have any, but cookie connoisseur steven said, "good call. these are dang good." yes. i did it again!]

{eight}

i was in total baby heaven yesterday at our ward bbq. little 5 month old girl and a little 4 week old boy. just snuggled them for a little bit. and today we sat behind this smiley little baby who kept popping her head over the pew. babies!

steven and i love to listen to coldplay when we are getting ready. he often requests me to put it on. 'at a boy! now...who wants to buy us tickets to their concert?

summer heidi comes in 3 days. what is summer heidi? who is summer heidi? summer heidi is a stress free woman. who makes gourmet dinners. and gets her morning workout in and is relaxed and happy and fun. let's just say we are all very excited for her arrival.
