was it easy? psh, yeah! easy peasy lemony squezzy!
okay, maybe not.
but all of it was worth it and we have grown so much closer and are so much more in love. i didn't think that was possible after how much love i felt for him on our wedding day, but each day it grows stronger and deeper. it's a beautiful thing.
here are some major events of our first year of major:
may 14, 2011: wedding!!
mid-july: steven's bday...and i had a peptic ulcer, so i'm sure it was the best bday ever.
august: mammoth with the kendrick fam [and santiagos...and soon to be millers]
beginning of august: an opportunity for an internship in washington d.c. falls in our laps. and steven applies and interviews for it.
august 26th: worst.day.ever. i took steven to the airport at 4.30am. and watched him walk away. and then went to the car and bawled for a little bit before i had to leave so i could get ready and go teach my precious little cherubs that had no idea what was going through my mind. and hours after landing, steven found out that he did in fact have an internship.
end of october: reunited! in dc! for my fall break.
thanksgiving: reunited again and celebrated my 24th birthday...oy vey!
december 9th: STEVEN CAME HOME!!!!
christmas break: arizona!! first christmas away from my family and first christmas with steven! it was awesome! [and i got a juicer!!]
february 2012: quick trip to california for disneyland with steven's fam and a day with mine!
february-march: steven interviewed with 3 companies [1 company was 2 different positions/departments] and was offered [4]internships [he might be slightly upset if he know i put that on there. shh. i'm just so proud. proud sugar mama over here!]. we finally picked 1...the best one which is actually right here in salt lake!

we've also managed to read out of our favorite book, the Book of Mormon everyday [starting December 30, 2010 before we were even engaged]. we love that book.
it may not seem too eventful of a year, but it has been. 3.5 months apart after only being married 3.5 months?! steven did some calendar math and figured we had been married 106 days when he left and he was gone 109, something like that.
