awkward & awesome

this is pictureless because my email is being wacko right now and not working. iphone photos tomorrow. which is pretty much all my instagrams.

awkward

-looking for some deodorant in the awkwardly-close-together-we're-remodeling-aisles at target when i see someone i know and hadn't seen in a year someone i thought i knew. so i smiled big and said, "oh hey how are you!" only to get a smile back and think...hmm, not the same smile...and then a "hey" and think...hmm, voice to deep. wrong person. whoops. and i grabbed a random deodorant and power walked back to steven about ready to bust up laughing. and steven decided he can't take me out in public anymore.

-going in the batting cages for the first time today and striking out. okay, you can't strike out in the batting cages but here's why it was totally awkward and i totally did: a) some softball star girl next to me was going to town and had this crazy stance and move. yeah. glad i don't know that. b) i know i don't run like a girl, but i definitely hit like a girl. my feet may have been popping up, like every time. c) i was scared for my life. d) the helmet was too big and practically spun around my head each time i hit the ball. e) my hands were tingling because that bat was no bueno [and believe me, i know a good baseball bat when i see one. what?]

-making the mistake of going to the gym wednesday at 4.30 pm. [for me it's either gym in the morning or run after school.] um, i forgot about how many provo all stars there were there. what's a provo all star? boys that are too "hot" for their own good [at least, that's what they think] and spend far too much time at the gym and downing protein shakes and too much time in the tanning bed.

-emailing a parent that her son peed on the playground [see here]

awesome

-getting "the pass of all passes" for $10 each for steven and i. includes 4 real salt lake soccer games, unlimited access to mini golf, laser tag, batting cages, seven peaks water park, and some other stuff.  i'm mostly excited for the real salt lake games. and they'll probably be against not so great teams--definitely not galaxy, but i'm still pumped. and water parks freak me out. so i'll just be going to soak in some sun and hopefully never see any of my former students there. then we'd have to relocate this to awkward.

-easy planning week at school last week. but my kids were out.of.con.trol. like so crazy.

-dying easter eggs with natalie and johnny [and baby boswell] and then watching youtube videos. we love them.

-the awesome nap i took after school on friday: I'M ON SPRING BREAK!

-steven's sister bringing me the hunger games today. will be reading this during spring break. and then seeing the movie.

-the next 8 days of no school i have to myself to do absolutely nothing be so productive.

-this is actually kind of awkward, but i've been using twitter to follow some health&nutrition people i love [dr. mercola and kimberly snyder] but steven convinced me to actually start "tweeting" things. ha. so i did. and i think there are like 4 people that actually care but it is just funny and fun.

-the "clean eating" whole wheat cinnamon roll recipe i found and am trying out for steven's easter breakfast--whole wheat flour, coconut oil [erin--it actually calls for e.v.o.o.], almond milk, and honey. i hope it is good. i will be reviewing it and posting the recipe source and my adaptations if it's good.

-JUITHIES. or SMUICE. sometimes i make my juice and then i add some ice + yogurt + a few drops of stevia to make it a thin smoothie. delicious and nutritious.

. i'm done .
