she loves wearing her fleece jammies. like, she wants to wear them all of the time. so we usually put jammies on for her naps. and she will stay in her jammies until we leave the house in the morning or after naps.
she loves nursery rhymes. she always wants to sing "the itsy bitsy spider" and lets you know by trying to do the spider crawling up the water spout with her hands. it is so cute. she also loves singing "skinny marinky dinky dink" (um, raffi fans?! skinny marinky dinky dink, skinny marinky doo. i love you!!!) and she shows that by doing the little actions for that!
but she really loves singing "wheels on the bus". and she says "bus! bus!" and says it pretty well, too! and so so so cute! except, i did this bad thing and put some kid cds in the car that has this song and the two above (and 97 others...plus a raffi cd, too...). and now every time we get in the car she says, "BUS! BUS!" and she also likes to watch this mother goose club youtube channel that has it and she gets so excited and yells "BUS! BUS!" and dances and does all of the moves! i die every time. toddlers are the best!
she loves reading books! her favorites are "the very hungry caterpillar" and "brown bear, brown bear" and two of the baby lit books we have. we have a paperback caterpillar book and a baby board book size. so she will read from the board book and i will read to her from the paperback and it is so fun.
she still loves her blankie and her lamby. she loves to take her blankie and lay on it/roll around on it and play peekaboo with it. and she sleeps with it under her, and her lamb in her arm. she will talk to her lamby and her baby doll and say in a high pitched voice, "hiiiii-eee! hiii-eee!" and then some sort of jibberish and give them some of her water and feed them. and hold them on her shoulder and pat their back. she's going to be a good big sister!
she loves blowing bubbles and playing on the balcony. she goes out on the balcony and blows bubbles and pushes her doll stroller around with either her baby or her lamby in it and goes in circles around the table (which is a high dining table, so she just walks right under it).
she loves going on walks to see the ducks. we aren't sure if she is saying "duck" or "quack", but she knows a duck says quack.
she loves dogs and says "DOGGGGY!!!!!" which sounds very similar to daddy.
she loves playing with her daddy on the weekends.
she loves siting in her chair. she will pick it up and move it in front of the tv if steven and i are watching something while she's still awake (which happens sometimes...) but her tv attention span is like 30 seconds, so you know. and sometimes we make popcorn and she gets her own little bowl.
she loves going to the park. if you ask or tell her we are going, she will say, "weeee?" which is how she says swing. and then she will yell "weee! weee!" when we pull up and she sees the swing.s
she loves playing at the gym, which is awesome for me. she plays, i play, and i get some "me" time.
she loves learning her animal sounds.
she loves playing with the ipad...still. she mostly just loves her matching app, which she is really good at, and her peekaboo barn, zoo, and forest. and she loves watching youtube videos of nursery rhymes and animal sounds songs and abc songs. i put a few on the home screen, so she will pick one of them and watch that, and then choose one of the suggested ones on the side. she could play with it for a loooong time. and she has (mom guilt). but we have been hiding it during the day...out of sight and somewhat out of mind.
she can say love now. "wuv!" and it is the cutest thing ever.
she has so many other words and keeps learning new ones that i don't think i could even name them all. and a lot of her words seem to start with but some of our favorite words she says are
*uh oh!
*noooo! (and she does this cute little thing with her lips...but you know, it's telling me no, so...)
*bus!
*wuv (i wuv that one)
*daddy!
*mommy!
*lion...pronounced "ma-mon"
*bee and buzz..."beee! beeeee!" when she sees the bee on her animal sounds song or in books or anything. and she will go "bsssss bsss bsss!"
*smoothie
*popcorn
she's SO FUN! i love this toddler stage so much! it is quite challenging, especially with this spirited little girl. she has her fair share of tantrums. maybe on the higher end of the bell curve? she's a little feisty like her mom...and both grandmas and her ggma...and if her dad was a girl, he would be a feisty girl, but boys aren't really labeled as feisty, so you know, girl's got it coming. more like, we have it coming. but we just love her sooooo much.
so that's my kenley dumb because, you know...documentation purposes and the whole, i haven't been on this thing in quite sometime.
