a few things about our baby girl at 10 months (which happened two weeks ago and i forgot to add the pictures to post this. busy being a wife and mom.).
* she dances. IT IS THE CUTEST THING EVER. we can't get over it. all you have to do is sing some sort of "do do do do do doooo" and she wiggles her head around. she looks like a little bobble head, but her torso kind of just moves in the same direction. it's hilarious. and if she's standing at her play table (which almost always has the music option selected), she will bounce her knees. you know, really get her body into it.
* she had her first stomach bug. awful. babies shouldn't be allowed to throw up. and that's one of the 234 loads of laundry i did that weekend.
* still not mobile! she loves just sitting and playing with her toys. she pulls her box of toys toward herself, finds a toy, takes it out, and repeats until most her toys are on the floor. then she will put some back in. or she will just sit and play/"read" a book.
*she LOVES reading books. she reads them to herself (kind of), loves playing with them, and always reaches over to the books by the rocking chair so we will read to her. it is the sweetest thing ever. she'd let me sit and read to her all day, i'm sure. as long as she gets to turn the pages. (and is my baby a genius?! she almost always turns the pages the correct way. like 95% of the time. it's kind of crazy. and i think she knows if she turns to many, because she tries to turn them back the other way.)
* veggie juice! start 'em young!
* speaking of play tables and bouncing knees, we are really working on learning how to fall. it's like her knees won't bend when you want/need them to! so she just falls over like a tree. we usually catch it, but we've had a few times that we haven't. so sad.
* she can wave "hi" and "bye".
* still working on blowing kisses, but she's kind of getting it.
* and she gave mommy some kisses this week! she just leans in with her mouth wide open. so precious. my mama heart melted all over.
* she's getting her first two teeth! they've cut through the gum and it's adorable. also, teething is the worst!! so sad.
* she l o v e s phones.
i can't believe she will be one in two months!
