kenley chronicles: 8 months!

*first things first, we bought a new computer and this is the first post from this bad boy.  so, holla!

our little love bug is 8 months!

i can hardly believe it.

especially now that we are in 2014, because kenley was born in 2013.

she will be one so soon!

she is still unsure of the whole "solid foods" thing.

i know it's because i eat the best and she gets the best. can't blame her. it's like gold.

but, when she does eat solids, she prefers them in her little mesh feeder. i told her that if she can't figure out how to hold the handle like an ice cream cone, then she will never get an ice cream cone. she obliged.

current foods kenley likes: bananas, pears, avocados, and (finally) sweet potatoes. we're really trying to get some veggies in her!!

 kenley is obviously still the cutest.

her cheeks are HUGE!

a hat and mittens that her great grandma shirley and great aunt denise got her.  sassy!

she loves going on walks!

recently, she discovered that she can turn her head up and look at me.

melts my mama heart.

 she's almost got clapping down. she used to clap a few times, then over christmas she decided to turn it into a little angel hand clasp. she's adorable.

i made kenley some homemade baby "cookies" and muffins and she wasn't too sure about them. she kind of just puts them in her mouth and then waves them around and it ends up all over. i think she gets a little bit of it in her tummy, though.

finally sleeping through the night!! she has slept 12 hours the past two weeks. i never thought this day would come. and i don't know how long it will last. 

her morning nap is anywhere from 1-2 hours (used to always be 2, but lately it has been only an hour to an hour and a half), and her afternoon nap is hit or miss. she's so unpredictable sometimes.

i can only hope she loves me and her dad as much as she loves her lamb.

 

one thing is for sure: kenley is a happy baby girl! she doesn't like sleeping anywhere but her crib, unless she's on vacation, then she only wants to sleep on me or her dad.
