sunday seven: christmas in california recap

mostly actually just pictures from our holiday in california

1. we showed kenley where her parents were sealed and married in the Newport Beach temple.
2. we took a picture right after church on Sunday and kenley wasn't feeling it.
3. Finn and kenley kind of played together. Finn is hilarious. so mobile and active.
3. Steve and I went to Houston's with Erin and Mike. Dana watched the babes. grandma was sick in bed {thankfully it was just one day!}, grandpa was at a wedding, Em and Blake weren't in town yet. Finn was sick, kenley was playing but sad every time Dana semi left the room trying to soothe Finn. poor sad babies. that was a short date. still good to get out with my love and Erin and Mike.
4. we took family pictures at the location Steven and I took out engagements. Steven also decided he wants to live in Newport Beach on the hills over by the temple. Of course, I complied and we decided we should save our pennies. And Benjamins.
5. Kenley "watched" the suns/lakers game with her dad. but not really.
6. daddy started a new Christmas tradition and read "the night before Christmas" to Kenley. She actually paid attention. we love the Jan Brett version aunt Julie got her! I love jan Brett books.
7. we took a walk on the beach and pier on Christmas Day. Did I mention the weather was perfect all week? It was 80 degrees on Christmas Day.
8. bonus. Kenley claps now. this eeek, she decided to do just one clap and then hold it like a little angel for a picture. it's the cutest!!
9. kenley was so good on the plane ride home. our flight was only 75% full, so we had a row to ourselves. of Kenley's 15 flights, this is the second time we've had a row to ourselves. it makes a huge difference! unfortunately, she doesn't really sleep on planes. or vacations, for that matter. she cried the whole 30 minutes home from the airport, only to stop and fall asleep for about 1 minute as we were pulling into our complex. then she slept 12 hours through the night. two nights in a row. after waking up with her and having her sleep on my chest half the night most nights, this was a huge, huge success. bravo, Kenley. bravo.
