the pregnancy diaries: week 34

at 17 weeks my belly looked like this.  barely noticeable.  looked like i ate too much.  i could still zip & button my pants, but preferred to belly band it up and leave them unbuttoned for added comfort.
erin at 23 weeks and me at 17.
17 weeks later...the bump at 34 weeks.  DANG!  i can button my black jeans and my white jeans {which i broke the "no white before memorial day and after labor day" fashion law that i think is so outdated and lame and wore on a sunny day last week}. but also, i definitely don't.  because if i sat down, that'd be the end of it.

updates on baby hopper & baby mama:

*still moving around a ton, which is a great comfort.  actually, it is a huge discomfort sometimes, but i'd rather feel uncomfortable because she is moving around than not have her moving.

*still really tiny.  she measured in the 11th percentile on thursday, but her belly was less than half of that.  our dr. sent us to the hospital right after that ultrasound to do a non-stress test {nst} to make sure everything was okay.  we passed, but we will be going back weekly {starting tuesday} for nst's to make sure everything stays okay.  this girl is keeping us on our toes already.  i think she is going to be feisty.  i don't know how she got that gene...okay, maybe i do.  i wasn't mighty heidi for nothing.  i will do anything to keep this girl healthy and growing appropriately.
waiting for the nst. next time i'll get a nice belly photo with all  of the straps and monitors hooked up.
*still loves to go up in my ribs.  and man, today it was hurting more than usual, but that's probably because she was up there the entire 3 hours i was sitting in church.  i tried to push her down, but she just had too much fun moving her foot around up there.

*still feeling great...but losing steam! 6 more weeks!

*still really really really excited.

*still reading my bradley method book.  i am pumped for this.  it is going to be the most wonderful painful experience of my life, but i am ready.  or, i will be in a few weeks.

*still exercising most days.  that is a blessing.  the dr. said my exercising has nothing to do with her teeny size, and i have his blessing to continue to work out.  modified, yes. a ton. but i realize exercising is not something every pregnant woman is capable of doing, so i feel very blessed.

*and ready, oh am i ready, to be back in regular clothes.  i think it's the sun and warmer weather that are making me want to wear all of my skirts again.  that or the fact that i haven't warn them in like 4+ months.

i forgot to mention that last saturday erin, emily, claire, and natalie threw a cute little baby shower for me.  it was decorated really cute and claire made these adorable bunny sugar cookies for "baby hopper".  she's so witty.  i loved it!  thank you girls!!
this week, my coworkers are throwing a shower for me.  i really hate all attention on me, but it is so wonderful to see how many people love this little girl already and all of the love and support that steven and i have.  my first grade team has been so supportive, as well as my principal.  they are all moms so they know what it's like!
