2. all in favor of baby hopper wearing the above jacket next fall//winter, please say "i". i think i just about lost it when i saw this. seriously? navy and white striped? that waist? the bow? the gold buttons? it has all of my loves in one jacket! if they made it in my size, and i checked, i would have it in a heart beat. gap friends and family ends tonight, so maybe i can still convince steven that we need this. if this girl is my daughter, and she is, then we neeeeeeed this!
3. my last parent-teacher conference on thursday night included this story: yeah, he thought you didn't have any money so he came home from school and went around the house with an envelope saying, "mrs. hopper needs money! she doesn't have any money! dad you have to come with me to bring her this money. mrs. hopper needs money!" well, thank you child. but just because i won't fund a class pizza party or take you all to one of those bouncy jumpy places does not mean i am poor.
4. oh, and another little school story. one of my boys sits facing a wall at the front of the classroom. away from the rest of the class. sometimes this is necessary. the last week has been better and he has earned less tallies {tallies are no bueno}. during our math lesson on thursday, i walked over to see what his paper was looking like {ie, what kind of pictures he had on there}. and then it hit me. it was like i had walked into a pig's pen. and i said, "oh {child}, did you have gas?" and he looks at me with that biggest grin and nodded. hilarious.
5. as of friday, i have become pretty obsessed with little baby rompers. so cute and light and airy for a hot and humid dallas summer {well, half utah, half dallas}. within an hour of asking erin what she thought of the pink one {which she said was so cute}, dana texted me and said, "baby girl! i couldn't resist!" dana is pretty cool. and then i ordered the other two. we originally wanted that plaid one in this little flowy tank, but they only had it in stores and not the size we needed. then i saw this and whaaaaat? so we love steven because he let me buy both of these rompers {even though we can't get the navy and white striped nautical jacket--i will be checking nearly daily to see when that thing goes on sale...but will it go cheaper than 40% off?! it's gap...probably. i always have discounts there}.
6. someone is incredibly excited for spring time, other than myself. hello golfing weather. we rang in the weekend with a trip to the driving range. i probably would hurt my body and baby, so i sat out while steven and his friend worked on their swing. steven is pretty pumped about the nice weather so he can golf again.
7. steven and i started downtown abbey. thumbs up so far {but major thumbs down for the gross scene towards the end. why? was that necessary?} and i have only heard great things about this show. it's so different from white collar, revenge, and red widow. {our current shows--minus white collar because the season ended a couple of weeks ago and i shed a tear or two that i'd have to bid farewell to neal caffrey for a few months. until then, i'll probably watch all of the seasons on netflix again.}
