sunday seven

i've seen all sorts of "five for friday" and 3 things daily and all of that jazz floating around out there in the world.  so i'm going to attempt at doing a {weekly?} sunday seven.  because this whole blog thing is really just to pass the time and "journal" about silly little nonsensical things that don't matter to anyone but myself.  except all this baby jazz.  maybe you like that? even if you don't, it's only going to get worse.  and by worse, i actually been better. because soon baby hopper will be here and you are going to frrrrreak out when i start blowing up this ol' thing with baby photos of her little baby buns.

okay, so here we go.

1. i have parent teacher conferences this week and i am not at all prepared.  like, between now and wednesday we have 3 assessments to take, which means i need to grade all three of those and do report cards.  but, remember how i am pregnant? and this will be my LAST parent-teacher conferences ever! at least, that i am conducting.  and i shouldn't say ever because there may be a time when i need to go back, or when i want to go back.  i know i'm going to miss it.

2.  yesterday i organized our extra bedroom//storage room//guest room//baby room//sewing room//office//everything room.  nesting, round 1.  this whole nesting thing has been starting to settle in.  but it's really just giving me anxiety since i am working full time and steven and i are trying to savor our last few weekends together before we become parents.  let me tell you this: it felt so good to get things organized. but like i said, this is nesting round 1 of...? 

3.  i pulled out a sample of newborn diapers we got.  how tiny is this?! and ignore the hand--it's just their to show you just how tiny that thing is.  whatever app i used to make it black & white {rather than my little iphoto here} made it look like i have some sort of disease.  but really.  how tiny is that thing?!  

4.  don't go to banana republic with steven.  don't go to the banana republic factory store with steven.  unless you want to drain your savings account.  that kid is like magic in there. i can't argue, because he looks pretty dang good in their clothes.

5.  2 weeks ago i made a double batch of almond milk.  and i froze 4 of the mason jars. well, apparently i didn't leave as much room for expansion as i thought, because 3 of the 4 jars broke in the freezer.  don't worry, we were able to salvage most of the milk.  but, note taken.  i will just make it weekly rather than doing this again.

6.  i really want//we need to get a new comforter for our bed.  steven wants to wait until we move, because then we can match paint.  i vetoed that idea.  you match the paint to your bed spread. someone might come home with a new comforter on friday.

7.  oh, friday? friday!! i don't have school friday because of parent teacher conferences.  if you're wondering where i am, you can find me lying in the grass soaking up the sun {because it's supposed to be a whooping 61 degrees. that's a big deal over around these parts!}.  or i'll be sewing a nursing cover, car seat cover, and burp cloths. or trek up to salt lake for trader joe's.
