baby's new trick is hiding in my ribs. she's not really good at the whole hiding things--she makes her location known. and when i'm sitting--no fun. but, it is fun to feel her moving around so much. during church today she was going crazy. for the 2 hours we were sitting in stake conference, i was staring at my belly for maybe 75% of it. my belly was bouncing around and rippling and poking out here and there. never gets old. i'm anxious to stare at her face and little body moving around rather than my belly!
and my new trick is...well, maybe we should talk about all of the tricks i can't do. although, i did do bird of paradise on both legs in yoga yesterday. and all of the other balancing poses. i haven't really lost my balance yet, so those will be my tricks.
my other trick is tricking myself into not freaking out about x,y, and z. and a, b, and c. and d-w. birth, post partum, preparing to be a mom of an infant {not just taking care of infants and babies and giving them back to their mother, which i am pretty darn good at}, sewing this stuff {see below}, getting all of the things we need: diapers, stuff, clothes, more stuff, reading these books, and sub plans for maternity leave. AH. freaking out. but i think i have a good plan. i just need spring break to come so i can work on it. and so winter can be o-ver. no more snow. no more cold. i can't button my coats.
i've decided that horizontal stripes accentuate the bump, yeah? my cousin commented that it is like pop art {she loves wearing stripes}.
my nightly reading. nourishing traditions has been put on the back burner. and what to expect the first year will be read after the baby is born. and that bradley method book...i need to get started on that. and baby wise. and finish happiest baby on the block first, which, along with Christ and the new covenant, gets read most nights. at least the book of mormon is getting read nightly, right?
some of the cute things we got for baby girl at our shower last weekend. i put it in drawers and in the closer the other day. some of the things i got are total little heidi outfits. so excited to dress her in all of these cute things! steven has even started looking at baby clothes. i love it!
natalie and i went out and bought fabric at joanns on friday night. i will be using mine to make a car seat canopy, nursing shawl, and burp cloths. and since i spent my saturday cleaning, laundering, and grocery shopping, it will all have to wait until this coming week//weekend.
