[they're currently in memphis. they'll be arriving this week.]
tuesday
we hit up disneyland and california adventures.
yes, we went back in february [here], but we only went to disneyland. steven had never been to ca adventures, and i hadn't been in nearly 4 years, and my parents hadn't been to either in a long time, so it was just time to go. we are grateful for the prescotts and martins for graciously using their friends/family employee passes on us.
[i am obsessed with those pants. must get coral.]
churros!! [sorry erin.]
thunder mountain railroad.
i sorta made/encouraged steven to come on a pre-disneyland run with me. he lasted 3 miles, and i did 4, so that is pretty good!! he doesn't enjoy running like i do, unless it is with a basketball on a court.
tom sawyer's island and the pirate ship.
wednesday
ohm. after a week and a half that felt like 3 weeks, i went to a yoga class with my mom. great yoga teachers are hard to come by, unless they also teach at a yoga studio, or used to, or you are at a yoga studio. it was not my favorite yoga class, and i wasn't completely focussed due to certain factors, but it felt good to breathe and stretch.
we hit up the beach with katie + kyle [please move back to utah!!!]
we missed them. a lot.
and steven and i both got burned. i'm not supposed to burn! mine was gone 2 days later. steven is still red in some areas. his was not so nice.
and that night we went on a date with katie + kyle.
what did we do? the same thing we did with my fam last monday night--newport beach--ferry to balboa--evening stroll--frozen bananas. [here]
thursday
steven had a business lunch at this swanky/delicious restaurant in bloomingdales at south coast plaza. what an unfortunate place to have a lunch at. he drug me with him, kicking and screaming...and i shopped. reluctantly. and i saw these cute little girl clothes at h&m. let's just say, i probably won't be shopping there when we have children for fear of blowing the budget.
we also visited my grandpa and he gave us a tour of his house. i've been there a lot. it was fun. then we stopped by g.ma's on the way back and i finally saw her newly redone bathroom. i love them both!
thursday night we finally cut into the top layer of this baby:
and we cut it and ate it just like on our wedding day. only this time, steven actually ate more a slice or 2 and then some more the next day. and i had 2 bites! [i do not love cake. which is why we had cheesecake. mm.]
friday
we relaxed all day with the fam and then went to the old spaghetti factory for dinner that night. i hadn't been there in over 3 years and i love that place and it is such a nostalgic, memory-filled place for my family.
saturday
we flew home early that morning.
and i was so sad.
and shed a tear or two. secretly.
and steven wore his new white pants he got at banana republic last week. he has been dying for some for over a year and we found some last week. he was so happy.
yes, i wore those mint jeans again. i'm seriously obsessed. and i really want coral ones. because i love coral and always have and always will. oh, maybe that's why i chose coral and a minty green/blue as our wedding colors.
and we were both so exhausted. and i made a costco and sunflower run to restock our empty fridge. and we napped. and my head was killing me.
then we had watermelon for dinner.
and then popcorn.
and that's all folks.

Cute shoes! Love them. Where did you get your mint jeans?
