and i'm domestic.

i've been feeling like a wife lately. like a "real" wife. a housewife {sans desperate} that cooks and cleans and creates. my latest projects? that thing below. it's part of a carnival tent that is going in my reading corner.  

right there i had just pinned on the yellow pom poms, but i have since sewed them on and also put wooden dowels on the seams on the other side.  i'll be putting it up in my classroom after they clean the carpets. which is why my classroom was found in this condition yesterday. 

sew so, i really want a sewing machine. right now, i'm borrowing one from the church. our stake is cool like that.  next week is dedicated to sewing since i have limited time with this bad boy. i could really do some damage this summer if i had one of my own {damage = lots of projects}.  i'm going to be making pillow cases for the pillows in my reading corner...also, i think i might run up to ikea and get some more so it's even more cozy and inviting.  

yesterday, i totally took in my slightly too large coral skinny's.  like, i turned them inside out and pinned and sewed and now they fit perfectly! i'm also going to be turning a long sleeve sweater into a 3/4 sleeve sweater as seen on this blog HERE. and i have a few other tailorings to do, so i am pretty pumped. i'll take and post pictures of my pants and the sweater after i pump it up later.

i'm going to be a sewing machine next week. bring it.
