awkward/awesome

i didn't really keep good track of all the awkward and awesome things that happened to me this week.  mostly just the awkwards--the awesomes are easy to remember.

awkward
-this happened like...right now [okay, now that it's like 8 hours later, not so right now.]. sadly, i do not have a vita-mix or blendtec, or actually we don't even have a blender. i just use a hand blender. anyway. i put too many chunky things in my green smoothie = it's chunky and tastes too bittery kale-ish for my liking. i need to chug it and hope i don't lose it after. tmi? sorry.
-anytime anyone i know sees me running. not that i don't look totally cute in my running skirt, but when it is like 7 am saturday morning and i'm still half asleep, it can be awkward.
-looking out the window and saying to steven, "wow! they sky is blue!" [it was grey when i left school and got home. so to see 0 clouds and a blue sky was a slight shock.]
top left: white pants before memorial day. i know, i know. but i don't care. that's so 4 decades ago. top right: [and top left] steven's basketball as our foot and head rest. bottom: totally popcorn popping on the apricot trees. except they aren't apricot trees.
awesome
-church on tv!! okay, that's just what we told our friends when we were younger...like high school younger.  in all seriousness: general conference.  one of my most favorite things ever. so much spiritual enlightenment.  so much inspiration. so much motivation.
-as mentioned above...general conference.  did you know we have living prophets on the earth today?  it is such a blessing.

SPRING!!!!
-SPRING SPRING SPRING SPRING SPRING. oh, and spring.
-impromptu cafe paesan run with 2 of steven's dc friends. i guess i can call them my friends too because i want them to be my friends. steven's just so cool.
-girl's night out to macaroni grill while the boys were at priesthood on saturday night. and then our pit party afterward and someone who will remain nameless drooling on our carpet...? that's actually awkward.  mentally move that to the above "awkward" heading. [and it actually wasn't that awkward...just hilarious.]
-sunday dinner with em and blake and making kendrick cookies afterward. i may not have eaten any cookies or cookie dough, but i did eat way too much food today!

kendrick cookies. the only chocolate chip cookies my dad will eat.  i guess i don't make them for steven enough [oh, is that a surprise? i make him vegetable juices and green smoothies instead.] because he asked for the chocolate chip cookies we made in mammoth...in august. i said, uh hello those are the famous kendrick cookies--the only kind i'll make!
-my mental health day on friday. MUCH needed. i know, i know spring break is in 1 week but i just needed a break. and it was a good one. our apartment is SO clean. like i was on my hands and knees scrubbing the floor for 4 hours and the cabinets and cleaning the front room. does this sound familiar to like 2 fridays ago when i actually had the day off and i cleaned for 4 hours? steven's liking this whole no school friday clean for 4 hours after the gym thing.
-as previously mentioned...1 week until spring break. this is a HUGE CUE for the hallelujah chorus. motab singing and mannheim steamroller playing. it's that big.

    1. Um, I don't know about that. But, we're just going to blame everything on the pregnancy. And some day when I'm pregnant, I'm sure we'll be doing the same thing.
