The Hopper Family: hugs & kisses and other thoughts.

while i'm missing hugs from steven, i'm loving getting all these sweet hugs from my little first graders!

they are just so darn cute.

the little girl that said, "mrs hopper, i love you," the other day gave me a big hug after school today and a big kiss on the cheek, too! now, obviously, as a public school teacher, i can't say, "i love you" back or give her a little kiss back. instead i just feel super happy inside.

teaching is such a joy.

steven is going to the tennis u.s. open in new york tomorrow.

i'm a little bit jealous.

why do toothpaste and mouthwash commercials pretend like they are brushing their teeth when there is OBVIOUSLY no toothpaste on the toothbrush? or mouthwash being rinsed around and spit out? not really convincing!

i may or may not have been watching say yes to the dress. this jewish girl was marrying a mormon boy and decided to put somewhat of a sleeve on her dress to please both families. well...it was kinda hilarious when they showed the mormon mother of the groom saying, "you see, mormons are just too sexy, so we gotta cover it up." AINT THAt THE TRUTH!?

i have 2 smoothies everyday. green and banana/almond butter.

teaching blogs are a blessing and a curse.

BLESSING: sooo many great ideas. lots of free printables of lessons, worksheets, etc.

CURSE: i spend so much time on them. but, it's all good time, so that's okay, right? also, i get overwhelmed and want to do everything but don't have enough time!
