kenley turned 9 months a couple weeks ago, but we've been a bit busy around these parts!
we love this baby girl more than anything. i love being her mother.
some stats:
15 lbs 14 oz, 5th percentile
26.5", 25th percentile
10th percentile head circumference
* kenley is getting pretty good at feeding herself! picking up pears, peas, bananas, kiwis, and other such slippery, cut up foods prove to be more challenging, but if it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you! (right?) keep at 'em, girlfriend!
*still no teeth!
* she LOVES sharing a green smoothie with me in the morning. she eats it from a spoon! and opens her mouth for more! we also tried plain, Greek yogurt recently (sweetened with a few drops of stevia), and she loves that, too! two things she will eat off a spoon!
* other foods she loves: just about any fruit she's tried, carrots, peas, spinach (which is 80% of our smoothies). she does not like green beans. maybe because I half puréed it and she hates purées?
* still so curious about everything!
* very cautious
* talks all day long. ALL DAY! she's been working on her "d's" for awhile now, so it's "da da da da." either that, or she misses her daddy when he's traveling during he week.
* if she isn't examining a toy/"toy" or talking, she's practicing clapping and clasping her hands together.
* I'm pretty sure she knows dada and mama. mostly dada, she seems to say dada when we finish facetiming with him, like she knows him and is wondering where he went.
* she makes the cutest little lip smacking noises sometimes while eating. and she says, "mmm mom mom mom!" and it's hilarious.
* recently, she'll make her mouth into a little "o" shape and blow. adorable.
* still sleeping twelve hours through the night with a good morning nap. afternoon nap is still hit or miss.
*she is so funny and fickle. afternoon nap at 1 pm for a week and then next day, 3 pm. she'll eat from a spoon one meal, not the next, eat from the little pouchy things one meal, not the next. likes something one day and not the next 3 times. you get it. i love her.
