sunday seven

oh, hey! it's been awhile.

 1.  we decided it was time for kenley to do her own laundry.  seriously, after 8 months of blow outs and spit ups and other things, it was time.  she's not really that good at it yet, but hopefully by the time she's in high school she will figure it out.

2. we pretty much just run around the house playing "chase" these days. kenley is still immobile {no complaints. in your own time, baby girl.}, so chase is more like mama chasing kenley who is being held by daddy. and then they chase me. or i'm holding her.  she absolutely loves it. big giggles over here, folks.

 3.  kenley tried some new foods this week.  peas, zucchini {which, i'm pretty sure she is allergic to. waaaaa.}, and lemons!

okay, maybe she just played with a lemon...

4.  steven has been between projects for a few weeks {longer than usual due to the holidays}.  it was so nice having him home so much--and not traveling.  now we'll all be adjusting back to "real life" come monday. 

5.  my mom read The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry, And The Big Hungry Bear to us girls all the time. now i read it to kenley. we had fun reading books together one morning by for her nap.  nothing new, but she's getting even more interested in books.  i love it.  this will greatly help my "retired first grade teacher teaches baby to read" headline become a reality.
