The Hopper Family: kenley chronicles: 8 weeks // 2 months

kenley is 8 weeks and will be 2 months on the 4th of july. she is really becoming such a cute, fun, and happy baby. i was a little worried about the happy part a few weeks ago. oy vey. girl gave me a run for my money!

:: kenley is becoming more and more smiley! {as long as she isn't hungry, tired, or poopy. or during her fussy time in the evening.}

:: she is talking so much! {as long as she isn't hungry, tired, or poopy. or during her fussy time in the evening.}

:: she doesn't hate her carseat anymore! {as long as she isn't hungry, tired, or poopy. or during her fussy time in the evening.} also, her head is too big for the extra infant support cushion.

:: kenley loves playing with her daddy. she gives him the biggest smiles!

all tuckered out after a long day in slc and park city. she loves this soft blanket!

:: she still loves, loves, loves her swing. like, LOVES it.

:: she doesn't hate bath time anymore! see here. {as long as she isn't hungry, tired, or poopy. or during her fussy time in the evening.}

:: she loves her play mat! and her "flash cards." she focuses well on the black and white images against the bright background. she stares at them for so long! {as long as she isn't hungry, tired, or poopy. or during her fussy time in the evening.}

kenley is a happy baby unless she is

hungry, tired, poopy, or fussy hour.

:: mama bought a baby bjorn. best. purchase. everrrrr. i wasn't too fond of the moby wrap. we both love it! perfect for grocery shopping, getting things done around the house {although, that's when she goes in the swing, which she absolutely looooves.}, hiking, etc. we love it!

:: her cry is changing. this is good. not everything is a scream now!

:: she loves falling asleep to the sound of a flowing river. she drains our ipad battery and occupies it all night. but we're okay with that!

:: we retired our newborn onesies. they were getting too difficult to put on. this makes me a little sad. but at we made it to 8 weeks before going into her 0-3, which are loose, but fit. this also means she is starting to fit into her cute 0-3 dresses! luckily her newborn dresses still fit great.

:: aunt dana & {honorary} aunt sara came to visit this past week. we had SO much fun! we went to lunch, color me mine, city creek in salt lake for lunch and shopping, park city, pool day at the new provo rec center, hiking. so fun!!

:: kenley and finn are starting to notice each other while laying next to each other. and how cute is finn!? i just want to kiss those cheeks of his!

:: THIS JUST IN! kenley rolled over for the first time yesterday! she often times rolls onto one side {every time you set her down when she was a newborn}. we just had her laying on her play mat while both of us were in the kitchen. i looked up and noticed she had rolled onto her side. next time i looked up, she was finishing up her roll onto her tummy! not bad for only 8 weeks! who knows when she'll do it again, though!

it's happening less and less now, but i still try and make her take a nap with me every now and then. the other day she was staring at me for so long and my heart was melting!
