the pregnancy diaries: 22 weeks

oops. it's been awhile. but here we are...22 weeks! more than half way!

we've told a lot of people, but...

we are having a 

g i r l !

we are very excited.  erin and mike are having a boy, so it will be fun to have one of each for the first 2 grandbabies in the kendrick family and so close together.

baby facts:

*baby girl is: about the size of a spaghetti squash...so, can i not eat any spaghetti squash this week? but she'll be growing to be about the size of a small doll.  so weird, some of these what to expect comparisons. 

*weighs: about 1 pound

*length: 8 inches

*developing: blood vessels

i'm currently:

*experiencing back pain

*getting a little hungrier

*still not wanting any sweets 

{although, that didn't stop me from sneaking a few bites here and there of steven's christmas cheesecake or wedding carrot cake. but unlike every other holiday, i didn't take my own slice *or two* of pie or cookies or anything [except thanksgiving. same thing then, too. i was pregnant then too, remember?]

*still exercising

*growing!!

*needing some new clothes, which i bought a few things. i'm not a fan of most maternity clothes out there. i have 2 pairs of maternity jeans: one pair is too large, but i can't do much about that. and the other pair is awaiting my arrival back in utah.  and i also bought a maternity top from gap the other day. it looks like 75% of the shirts i already own...it's just longer and wider at the bottom--made for a bump.

*thinking we have our name picked out. but only family knows it. and it could possibly change once we meet her. 

i seriously hate taking self portraits.

especially in poor lighting with just my iphone.

not helping me at all.
