currently. {and lately}

side note {and totally irrelevant to the remaining "stuff" in this post}: okay, i've pretty much been failing at this little ole' blog over here.  first of all, remember how back in the day, pre-marriage, my blog was called paper moon after an ella fitzgerald song {one of my favorites--and i think it's just a song from that era, not necessarily ella's}. anyway, i think i'm going to change this back to paper moon.  sorry steven. but what you don't know, won't hurt you, right? and will he know? probably not.  he probably doesn't even remember we have this little blog.  and by "we," i really mean "me." or "i." whatever.  so here's the deal.  it is now officially fall break and i'm going to change this little thing back to paper moon.  except, technically, my old blog is still up and running...just hasn't been updated for well over a year. but seriously, who cares.

here's what i really came to write about.  currently and lately.  we'll actually start with lately.

it's fall!
hooray for corduroy pants, boots, crunch leaves, pumpkins, gourds, apples, snuggling in bed just a wee bit longer, and everything else i love about fall {namely, my favorite holidays: thanksgiving and...my birthday! okay, christmas is another favorite, but that's in winter.}
pluots from grandpa hopper! and 1/3 were already gone!

gourd shopping with erin
pumpkin waffles i made for steven. for dinner one night.
don't worry--they were the nutritious kind. that's how we roll.

general conference.
i seriously LOVE, love, love love love so much general conference.
it only happens twice a year: april and october. best two weekends of the year. how can they not? filled with spiritual uplifting and enlightening messages. it's when our prophet, Thomas S. Monson, and the twelve Apostles as well as other general authorities of the Church speak to us.  clear, divinely inspired messages.  it's so beautiful.
you can watch or listen to it here.

mission reunion.
i probably wouldn't have been as excited about this if i hadn't had met steven's mission president when he was out in dc.  steven served in the maryland baltimore mission, and when he was back in dc last fall semester {a year ago, already!} he was able to meet up with his former mission president a few times. we even spent thanksgiving there, when i came out to visit, and saw him the first time i was there too.  it was so neat to meet the man {and his awesome wife--steven says she's a little feisty, like myself} that has had such a profound influence on his life.  we were also surprised to see that we showed up with semi-matching outfits.  that's how cool we are.

CURRENTLY!
the part we've been seriously craving. this will be done in bullets. {kind of.}

*listening: to christmas music.  not ashamed. all of my favorites, and then some. sorry. this will probably go one for about...3 months.
*missing: baby boswell.  spent a good amount of time chatting with natalie and holding hailey today. seriously, cutest baby girl.  i just love her.  i told hailey i would take her home, but i didn't her parents would be too happy.
*wearing: my new workout pants from target. pretty much haven't taken them off since saturday. i washed them after the gym, don't worry.
*smelling: fresh sheets on my bed.  mmmm.
*loving: erin and mike living up here. i was a little sick this weekend {hence the over-wearing of the workout pants} and erin was so kind to babysit me on monday and tuesday so i wouldn't be so lonely home by myself.
*UPDATE {5 minutes later--like anyone even read it in that 5 minutes}: listening to and loving and smelling the fall rain outside my open window with the nice breeze. oh and steven just got home. good night!
