i have so many careers.

i've been doing summer reading groups twice a week. it's great. i forgot what it's like to have kindergarteners coming in rather than my almost 2nd grader first graders that i had just a month ago. {a moment of silence in their memory. miss them.}

so today these 2 new boys showed up {4 weeks into it}. and they are twins--6 years old. so i said, "tell me a little about yourself." blank stare. "what do you like to do?"

twin a: "i like sciencey stuff, because i'm going to be a paleontologist and a math teacher and {something else i couldn't understand}...i have so many careers!"

twin b: "i like monster trucks."

then i told the little group of 4 boys to grab a whiteboard, marker, and a tissue {eraser} and meet me at the carpet. so the boy that focuses on everything but the lesson says, "what if your nose is stuffy when you're doing it {the game we were going to play}?"  so funny.
