nap time and bed time

this is my boy that comes to school so sleepy everyday. and stays so sleepy all day! yesterday he stayed in during recess [he said he was feeling dizzy] and he came in after he ate lunch and just put his head on his desk.  i told him he could go take a little rest on the pillows for 30 minutes and he did.  he was OUT.  like, 2nd grade bell rang--didn't flinch.  our bell rang 10 minutes later--didn't flinch.  so i called his name.  no flinching.  i  called it again a little louder and he woke up looking so confused so i just told him to go to the bathroom and get a drink. it was so cute.

want to know why i've been a little m.i.a.? do ya?  yeah, you totally do. well here's why: i've had this weird headache since last week during spring break! yuck. steven and i kind of narrowed it down to my contacts. 

i'll spare you all of the details, but here is what you need to know: i slept for 10 hours monday night and wednesday night.  and you think after going to bed around 8.30 pm that i'd be able to wake up at 5 am for the gym, right? um NO. and i'm STILL tired and my head is STILL hurting. and if the insane amounts of sleep i've been getting aren't shocking enough, then get this: i haven't gone to the gym or ran or yoga-ed since saturday.  what?  saturday. *jaw-dropping GASP!* i know, i know! just the thought of going to the gym or running and having my brain jiggled or the lights and music blaring in my head is just about as appealing as digging a hole a mile deep. one week off won't kill me. but you better believe i'll be out on my morning run followed by yoga on saturday morning. ommm. just thinking about it makes me giddy inside. plus, i am sure those inversions will make my head feel all kinds of good. in fact. i'm going to do one right now.

ps: if you've never seen million dollar rooms on hgtv, then you are seriously missing out. people are insane. and have too much money. a gold bathroom. seriously? do you need 24k gold tiles in your shower?  and a gold brush?
