awkward and awesome

so my sweet sister erin {here}
introduced me to the most amazing blog {here} called the daybook. i love it. cute family. LDS. cute outfits. cute baby. cute writer. just love it.
side note: i also love rockstar diaries. {here} sometimes, when i think about it, it's kind of weird to follow these wildly famous [in the blog world] blogs when i have never met these people.
well, both these gals are LDS girls, young, married, new mothers. they're cute, entertaining, and inspiring. so i follow. and i read. and i enjoy. and in the next couple of years, i'll have a little baby and be a new little mother, too.

so back to the whole purpose of the title, "awkward and awesome." miss daybook has "awkward and awesome thursday" in which she states a whole bunch of awkward moments from the past week and a whole bunch of awesome moments. pure entertainment. she also has over 1000 followers that have jumped on her awkward and awesome bandwagon. so i thought i would too.

without further ado...
my awkward and awesome awesome moments from the past week.

awkward
-holding "happy baby" pose in yoga and hearing a very audible release of gas from the back. quite awkward. and embarrassing for the gassy one. my sympathy [not empathy, because i've never done that...ever...at least never while doing yoga at the gym.] this is happy baby pose:
-putting papers in my kiddies cubbies while they were at pe only to notice a paper plate and plastic fork peeking out from one. i had this weird hiccup-y blurt of laughter when i pulled it out and noticed it was leftovers our morning dr. seuss day celebration breakfast of green eggs and ham casserole [5 hours previous]. i turned to get up and tell my teacher friend next door and noticed she had just walked in the classroom and was wondering what the hek i was laughing at. it was actually pretty awesome...but the laugh she heard, not so awesome.
-teaching my kiddies how to write letters this week. we practiced by writing one to dr. seuss. "how can we write a letter to dr. seuss if he is dead?" hit. "what would you write if he were alive?" save? almost?

awesome
-having one of my students ask dr. seuss in her aforementioned letter to him, "I love you. and hou much do you weigh?"
-having my in-laws in town. and going on a double date with them.
-bringing dinner to my friend and her new little baby. and because my in-laws are here, it was a drop and run, so i brought it in a glass dish so i would purposely have to go back to pick it up...and hold baby girl for more than 1 minute.
-2 more internship offers for my boo. now--where to go?!
-my new shirt from anthro that was $148 and i got for $20...minus the $14 remaining on my giftcard. awesome.

more next week. and i'll jot down all of those other little things that happen during the week that i forget by the time i actually sit down.
until then...
happy saturday night and happy sabbath tomorrow. [favorite day.]
